Lufkin, TX: Following a national search, the Board of Trustees of the T.L.L. Temple Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of Charlie Glover as the Foundation’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. Glover brings deep philanthropic experience, visionary leadership, and a lifelong commitment to Texas communities. He previously served as Vice President of Grants at the Meadows Foundation where he led work across education, environment, health, civic and public affairs, arts and culture, and human services portfolios with strategic initiatives in higher education, teacher preparation, disability advocacy, water conservation, and mental health care.
“We are thrilled to welcome Charlie Glover as the next leader of the T.L.L. Temple Foundation,” said W. Temple Webber III, Chair of the Board of Trustees. “Charlie’s combination of strategic insight, nonprofit leadership, and Texas-rooted values makes him uniquely qualified to lead the Foundation into its next chapter.”
Founded in 1962, the T.L.L. Temple Foundation is dedicated to addressing poverty and creating opportunities in rural East Texas. The Foundation partners with nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and other stakeholders to implement programs that improve health, education, economic development, and quality of life in the region.
“I am honored to be joining the community of strength and resilience that is East Texas and the opportunity to lead one of the premier philanthropic institutions in the country,” said Glover. “The T.L.L. Temple Foundation has a remarkable legacy of service and impact. I look forward to learning from and collaborating with our grantees, partners, and community leaders to continue advancing opportunities for rural East Texans to thrive.”
