Kevin Lambing serves as the senior program officer for health. In this capacity, he is dedicated to promoting the well-being of East Texas children, adults, and families by ensuring access to quality healthcare. He facilitates collaboration among stakeholders and establishes community partnerships with potential health-related grantees across East Texas, which encompasses 22 rural counties and one primarily urban county, Harris County, as well as Miller County in Arkansas (including the Texarkana area). Moreover, he vigilantly monitors federal and state health-related legislation to anticipate future funding gaps in rural East Texas.
Kevin’s career spans over 30 years in the Air Force, culminating in his role as Senior Advisor to the Air Force Surgeon General. In this position, he played a pivotal role in defining, shaping, and implementing healthcare policies to support 45,000 personnel across 75 medical treatment facilities worldwide. His efforts ensured the delivery of cost-effective, patient-centered, and prevention-focused healthcare services to 2.6 million beneficiaries.
He holds an Associate of Applied Science degree from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor of Science degree from Wayland Baptist University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University. Additionally, he is a 2023 National Rural Health Association Fellow.
Kevin is happily married to his wife, Sheliea, and they are proud parents of two children, Noah and Lydia.
